Alive at Learn LLC (“Alive at Learn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, communicate with us, subscribe to communications, register for or purchase services, participate in programs or events, or otherwise interact with Alive at Learn.

Depending on how you interact with Alive at Learn, we may collect information including:

  • Information you voluntarily provide through contact, inquiry, registration, intake, or question-submission forms

  • Information relating to services, programs, events, or resources in which you express interest or participate

  • Communications you send to Alive at Learn

  • Information you choose to share during calls, programs, meetings, or other interactions with Alive at Learn

2. Website Analytics and Cookies

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace uses necessary cookies to operate and securely serve the website and may use analytics and performance cookies to provide information about website traffic and visitor activity.

Alive at Learn currently uses Squarespace’s native website analytics and Activity Log. We do not currently use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

Squarespace analytics may collect information such as browser, network and device information, IP address, referring pages, pages visited, clicks, scrolling, searches, and timestamps. Squarespace describes its analytics and cookie practices in its own privacy and cookie documentation.

We may change or add website technologies or service providers over time. This Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

3. How We Use Information

Alive at Learn may use collected information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with you

  • Provide coaching, family support, education consulting, learning opportunities, events, programs, and other services

  • Process registrations, bookings, and purchases

  • Administer Open Learning Calls and other programs

  • Send service-related confirmations, reminders, scheduling information, and updates

  • Send educational resources, learning opportunities, news, or promotional communications when you have opted in to receive them

  • Understand and improve our website, programs, communications, and services

  • Maintain business and transaction records

  • Protect the security and operation of our business and services

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

Purchasing a service or registering for an event does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing communications. Where applicable, marketing consent is collected separately.

4. Service Providers and Platforms

Alive at Learn uses third-party service providers to operate its business and deliver services. Depending on your interaction with us, information may be processed through providers including:

  • Squarespace, for website hosting, website forms, and website analytics

  • MailerLite, for email communications, subscriber management, bookings, registration, and related automation

  • Stripe, for payment processing

  • Zoom, for video calls, meetings, and online programs

  • Google services, including Google Calendar, Google Forms, Google Drive, and related business tools

  • YouTube, where video resources or program recordings may be hosted or made available

We may also use additional service providers or community/program platforms in the future as our services evolve.

These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices and, where applicable, on behalf of Alive at Learn.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

5. Payment Information

Payments for certain Alive at Learn offerings may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.

Alive at Learn does not directly receive or store complete payment card information when payment information is processed by a third-party payment processor. Those providers handle payment information according to their own privacy and security practices.

6. Email Communications

You may voluntarily opt in to receive educational resources, learning opportunities, news, and other communications from Alive at Learn.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those emails.

Transactional or service-related communications, such as purchase confirmations, registration information, scheduling information, or important updates relating to a service you purchased, are separate from marketing communications.

7. Open Learning Calls and Recorded Programs

Certain Alive at Learn programs, including Open Learning Calls, may be recorded.

Recordings may capture participant names or display names, images/video if cameras are enabled, voices if participants unmute, chat messages, questions, comments, and other information participants voluntarily share during the program.

Participants may keep their cameras off and may change their Zoom display names if they prefer greater privacy.

Questions submitted in advance may be discussed during the call. Unless a participant indicates through the question submission form that they are comfortable being identified, questions will be discussed without identifying the person who submitted them.

Participants should use discretion when sharing personal, sensitive, or identifying information about themselves, children, students, family members, or other individuals.

Additional recording, replay, confidentiality, and participation terms may apply to individual programs and will be disclosed as part of the applicable registration or purchase process.

8. Access to Information

Personal information may be accessible to Alive at Learn personnel and authorized contractors who require access to perform legitimate business functions.

Currently, access may include Alive at Learn’s owner and authorized individuals assisting with administrative, operational, marketing, or program-related work.

We do not provide personal information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

9. Data Retention

Alive at Learn retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and service records, to maintain relationships with clients and community members, and to meet legal, accounting, operational, or contractual obligations.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

Alive at Learn does not currently maintain a single fixed retention period applicable to all categories of personal information.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights relating to your personal information.

You may contact Alive at Learn to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable legal, contractual, and recordkeeping requirements.

You may also unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

11. Children's Information

Alive at Learn provides services that may relate to children and students. However, information submitted through this website, purchases, registrations, and marketing subscriptions should generally be provided by a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult unless otherwise specifically arranged as part of an Alive at Learn service.

Alive at Learn takes reasonable administrative and operational measures intended to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission, electronic communication, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
