A Note From Our Founder
Alive at Learn began as the synthesis of my 10+ years of experience working with neurodivergent learners, particularly with profiles of Autism, Sensory Processing, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD.
“After years of working in a variety of different school settings and learning environments (homeschool included), I found many students and families experiencing high anxiety and patterned interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict.I witnessed this anxiety and conflict resulting in traumas, shame cycles, overwhelming physiological manifestations, and more. In an effort to address the actual needs I was witnessing, I set out to support families in building structures and strategies that prioritize a sense of safety in the nervous system and foster a brain-body experience that builds awareness, resiliency, and discovery. With an approach built on a comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity, I built Alive at Learn to help individuals and families experience more connection, more collaboration, and more understanding. Today, Alive at Learn continues to serve families in this mission with the help of a developing team.”
